The immense health benefits of taking Waiakea water

The doctors recommend that an adult should take at least eight glasses of water every day. The human body is majorly made of water, which comprises up to 65 percent of the total mass. However, taking eight glasses of typical bottled water can be nerve wrecking considering that most of the bottled water on the shelves is acidic and tasteless. Fortunately, the volcanic Hawaiian water gives you enough reasons to drink the recommended eight glasses of water every day.

Our body pH

The human body functions optimally at near neutral pH. The body strives to keep this balance to support the vital body processes. However, most of the people experience imbalanced body pH due to poor lifestyle choices. Eating highly processed foods such as carbohydrates and acidic water can kick your pH off balance. Besides, taking acid-producing foods such as eggs, meat, and dairy products can also result in increased acidity in the body. Additionally, other beverages such as carbonated soft drinks, energy drinks and alcohol can lead to pH imbalance.

Regaining pH balance in the body

The first step to taking control of your body pH is by eating healthy foods. Taking plenty of fresh vegetables can help maintain an optimal pH balance. Besides, taking enough alkaline water such as Waiakea also helps to keep the body pH at optimal range.

Waiakea water

Waiakea water is naturally alkaline water sourced from one of the most active volcanoes in the world, the Mauna Loa volcano in Hawaii. It is the first Hawaiian volcanic water to be tapped for bottling. The Waiakea water has a natural pH of 8.8 that results from the bicarbonates found on the volcanic rocks. As the water percolates through the rocks, it absorbs the magnesium and calcium bicarbonates, which helps to keep it soft and naturally alkaline. Additionally, the water also taps natural minerals such as silica, which play crucial roles in the body.

Health benefits of alkaline volcanic water

Amongst many other health benefits, volcanic alkaline water helps to alleviate the symptoms of acid reflux in the body. The silica contained in the Waiakea water surpasses the recommended daily intake. Silica plays a crucial role in slowing down the aging process and also reduces the risk of cognitive decline.

The American Immigration Council and Justice That Works Are Receiving Valuable Aid from the Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund

The Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin Frontera Fund has a mission to provide funding to critical organizations that fight for human, civil, immigrant and migrant rights. The fund was begun as a result of a $3.7 million settlement being awarded to journalists Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin after their wrongful arrests at the hands of former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

The arrests were illegal and nothing more than retaliation for the fact that Lacey and Larkin were making Arpaio’s life difficult in exposing his many scandals. The fund provides money to important organizations like the American Immigration Council and Justice That Works.

The state of Arizona’s prison population is one of the largest in the United States. Arizona also incarcerates more black individuals per capita than any other U.S. state. Former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his department were well-known for racist actions including racial profiling and gross abuses of human rights that included sub-standard jail conditions.

Justice That Works has a team that includes immigration lawyer and radio show personality Ayensa Millan as well as Viridiana Hernandez, the policy director for the Center for Neighborhood Leadership.

In 2016 Justice That Works announced that it would open a community court in Phoenix, Arizona. Community courts have been huge successes in that area of lowering crimes rates while keeping people free from incarceration.

Another program from Justice That Works is the Redefining Safety Initiative that is being conducted in partnership with the Center for Neighborhood Leadership. The plan is to hold 50 community meetings throughout the south Phoenix and Maryvale areas. Read more: Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund and Jim Larkin | Facebook

Justice That Works will have conversations as to how these communities can make their neighborhoods safer without having to use a punitive policing system. Justice That Works wants to see communities come up with solutions to these issues and then vote on them.
