Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Dr. Jennifer Walden has made a significant name for herself in the male-dominated field of cosmetic surgery. Women choose to undergo plastic surgery in far greater numbers than men, so this field was ripe for Dr. Walden to make her mark. She currently runs a highly successful plastic surgery practice and a fully accredited, office operating room in Austin.
Entering medicine came naturally, since her mother was a surgical nurse and her father was a dentist. After graduating high school, Dr. Walden remained in Austin and earned an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Texas. She completed her residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, then completed a fellowship in aesthetic surgery under Dr. Sherrell Aston at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. Dr. Walden continued working in New York City for seven and a half years, before deciding to open a private practice in her hometown of Austin.
Dr. Walden is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has worked extensively in breast augmentation and breast lift surgery. Beyond that, she specializes in aesthetic surgery of the body, breast and face, including face lifts, eyelid lifts, nose jobs, liposuction and the injection of Botox and soft-tissue fillers. During her career, Dr. Walden has participated in clinical trials and has promoted, developed and advanced the use of new technologies and instruments in the ever-developing field of cosmetic surgery.
Always striving for excellence, Dr. Walden continues to earn recognition in a field still dominated by male doctors. She not only holds her own amongst her colleagues, but she’s received admiration in the arena of aesthetic plastic surgery. Dr. Walden exemplifies that women can accomplish great things and have a positive impact on the lives of others.
