CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD REFERENCING EMINEM’S KAMIKAZE AND REVIVAL

Eminem has been in the limelight for several years now. His fans have been deciphering almost all of his songs after the release of each. His latest album, Kamikaze has been reviewed by fans and critics too since its unexpected release. Charlamagne Tha God is one of the people who has shown an interest in fishing out the best and the worst of the music in the album. This could mostly be because he was mentioned in the song “The Ringer”.

Though the line could come out as a diss to some, Charlamagne Tha God doesn’t take it as so. The album, according to Charlamagne, was a makeup for Eminem’s prior disappointing album, “Revival”. He said that not only did he find the song to be below the artist’s standards, but Eminem too thought that he was a letdown. Charlamagne referenced portions of the song that were directed to other artists such as Drake, Tyler the Creator, and Joe Budden. On Tyler the Creator, Charlamagne showed concerns because the song apparently used homophobic inferences which would offend a lot of people, the target included.

Being a media personality, Charlamagne’ name is bound to come across in some artist’s music. He is a co-host of The Breakfast Club, a program on iHeartRadio. On television, he appears on Viacom. In addition to that, he also owns a production company called CThaGod World LLC. Charlamagne Tha God is able to reach a lot of people who follow him on social media and through the podcast Brilliant Idiots as well.

His roots are in South Carolina. He has been able to grasp the attention of the nation through the interviews he conducts with celebrities concerning hip-hop, politics, the society, and racial issues too. He also authored a bestseller called Black Privilege, Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It and Shook One.

His influence brought him to the radar of rappers, starting off with Chingy and now the most recent one with Eminem. Not only was Charlamagne Tha God mentioned in the Ringer, he was also mentioned in “Fall”, another Eminem track in the album. Charlamagne Tha God is happy about this, stating that his name has now been immortalized in songs. He even hailed Eminem for using his white privilege to reference president Trump and prejudice. He even mentioned liking the album “Kamikaze” as opposed to “Revival” Go Here for more information.

Charlamagne Tha God Responds To Backlash Lyrics From Eminem

“I don’t hate, I tell the truth…”, said Charlamagne Tha God on The Breakfast Club, as he and his co-hosts recapped Eminem’s “Kamikaze” album.

Charlamagne Tha God, renowned radio host and author, is popular for not holding his tongue about his views on pop culture and social issues. But his recent remarks about rapper Eminem’s use of a homophobic slur towards another fellow rapper earned him to receive a not so honorable mention in one of his lines. To add insult to injury, Charlamagne Tha God did not particularly care for one of Eminem’s past album called “Revival”, which he deemed “wack’, causing the rapper to be further in uproar against the radio host.

The artist wrote in one of his songs, “The Ringer”:

“Charlamagne gonna hate anyway

Doesn’t matter what I say

Give me Donkey of the Day

What a way for 2018 to get underway”

In his latest interview with Esquire.com, Charlamagne Tha God took the comeback with a bit of flattery, but had a response to explain his position. “… Eminem has to understand when he calls Tyler that he’s not just throwing a shot at Tyler, he’s throwing a shot at millions of gay people around the globe. But I don’t think he cares.”

“I actually do think Kamikaze is good.”, he further states about the rapper’s newly released album.

Charlamagne has been termed the “Hip Hop Howard Stern” and is no stranger to backlash. His syndicated morning show, the Breakfast Club, is home to the most candid interviews with celebrities and public figures from all walks of life, where nothing is off limits. Some of his guests have not always taken his approach too well, notably comedian Monique. She later stated how “Charlamagne has no problem tearing down Black women…”, and felt “disrespected”.

Charlamagne Tha God is co-host to Andrew Schulz on the weekly podcast Brilliant Idiots and is a bestselling author to three books. His current work, Black Privilege, drew a lot of criticism from minorities, accusing him of downplaying the plight of his community. Go To This Page to learn more.
