The Chainsmokers And Their Record – Breaking Success

The Chainsmokers are an extremely popular EDM / Pop duo made up of Drew Taggart and Alex Pall. 2018 has been a really successful year for them, so much in fact, that they are landed at the number two position on the list of the World’s Highest-Paid DJs. They beat out some really famous names in the EDM genre, including Diplo and David Guetta. In all the success of their three year residency deal with Wynn Nightlife and there popular tracks “Closer” and “Something Like This,” it doesn’t seem like the popularity or the success for the Chainsmokers will be burning out anytime soon.

In 2018, the total earnings of the Chainsmokers success is estimated at $45.5 million. This is due to the residency and having huge success with recently released singles. Although they do have several recently release singles, they are still experiencing success on their debut album, Memories…Do Not Open. It has been well over a year since the release of this album, and it is still number one on Billboard’s Top Dance and Electronic Chart. This means that The Chainsmokers are tied with the Gorillaz’s album Demon Days for the third place for the most weeks at number one on the Dance and Electronic Chart’s history. It’s pretty certain to say that the tie will be broken soon, especially since the Gorillaz’s album does not get that many spins anymore, but the Chainsmokers are still releasing music and reaching new fans by the day.

This year, The Chainsmokers have had a little more competition to deal with, especially with the EDM genre becoming increasingly popular. There have been several new and upcoming artists that are releasing albums that have went to the number one spot, like Calvin Harris’ album Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1. His album took over the number one sport for at least a few months. And another act, Avicii, who is from Sweden and also a great in the EDM genre, has recently popped back onto the charts as well. With all this competition, however, any time The Chainsmokers release a single or an album, you can be sure that it will definitely make its way to the number one spot, thus increasing their chances of holding down their record-breaking success.

Alex Pall and the Chainsmokers interview

The chainsmokers have been successful in their hits “Roses” and “Don’t let me down.” But they have recently paired with the amazing, Halsey, and created their most popular hit yet. Their song was called “Closer” and it became known as one of the biggest songs of 2016. The two members of the chainsmokers, Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart, are hoping that their new music will reach more people and that their audience will increase.

As Alex Pall explains it from his point of view. Before he was famous, he was just a typical man with a hobby. DJing was considered his hobby at the time, and he had a small career from it in New York City where he lived. DJing felt more like fun than it did a career to him, which mate it intimidating. Then one day, while he was at an art gallery, he realized that he wanted to pursue DJing and make a career out of it, and so his manager introduced him to Andrew and they immediately got to work.

From Andrews point of view, He was a regular college student with a love for electric music and he had an interest in DJing. He created some music and started getting into production, so he produced a couple of songs and put them out on SoundCloud, and he played in a couple of shows which encouraged him to continue. He continued to watch many DJs becoming successful and it inspired him. He lived in Maine, but he had planned to move to L.A. after college and pursue DJing. Finally, his break came when a kids who worked for Alex’s manager told him that a duo named the chainsmokers needed another man to play in their shows. He immediately hopped on a bus and headed to New York. As soon as he met Alex they started working, and the rest became history.
