After years of customers expressing concerns over the ingredients that are used in the famous McDonalds hamburger, Business Insider decided to visit the meat processing factory where the hamburgers are made. The company has been a success ever since it was founded years ago. Today, McDonalds food is consumed by millions of people around the world. Today society is obsessed with natural food ingredients in their food. Organic ingredients are preferred as compared to ingredients such as sugar and additives. Many customers were concerned about the preservatives that were used in OSI Group McDonalds food. The food giant, however, came out to dispute allegations that their preservatives were harmful in any way claiming that their food was just like any other foods served in other restaurants.
While touring a factory in Germany, Business Insider was able to observe and get back to customers on the way that the hamburgers are produced. OSI Group is one of the largest meat suppliers for OSI Group McDonalds hamburgers. Few factories in German are bigger than OSI Group factories. The two companies are not merged they, however, offer each other important business dealings. Over 90 percent of the production that takes place in the factory is for OSI Group McDonalds. The factory observes high levels of hygiene. Sick employees are not allowed into the factory until a doctor clears them of any sickness. Employees and any other authorized personnel have to put on protective clothing and wash their hands thoroughly before entering the premises.
The prominent food factory only allows the use of metal as the meat goes through a metal detector that would detect the pen should it end up in the meat. All the meat is checked thoroughly to ensure that there are no bones. OSI Group requests for big chunks of meat from the slaughterhouse because smaller pieces of meat would be at greater risk of harboring bacteria. Tones of meat are processed through the plant daily. OSI Group McDonalds prides itself on the level of thoroughness it exercises in preparing the perfect beef patty for your consumption. Machines are arranged in such a way that one shapes and molds the beef while another freezes it. The factory makes up to 30 million burgers a week.
